Nissan bundles home charger installation into EV finance packages
If you’ve had your eye on a brand-new Nissan EV lately, Nissan is offering to build the cost of home charger installation into select finance packages.
All you need to do is take out a three- or four-year Hire Purchase (HP) or Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) deal on their Leaf or e-NV200. Nissan will then include the cost of the charger in your finance, covering the cost of installation.
Although the charger isn’t free because you are paying for it in your monthly payments, Nissan’s solution does reduce complexity for customers who are buying their first EV and need to arrange charger installation.
Customers will be able to choose from a range of 7kW chargers from well-known brands like PodPoint and eBox.
“Wherever possible, we want to try and reduce the complexity for customers new to electric motoring and make their transition to zero emissions motoring as easy as possible,” said Frank Oldfield, the energy services manager at Nissan GB. “With this Nissan finance package, you can secure a fantastic electric car, choose from a range of 7 kW chargers, and have it efficiently installed at home, all for one single monthly payment.”
